Tiny houses that inspire me
I collect links and images of tiny houses because one day we'd like to build a few for guests to stay in when they visit us!
This collection looks interesting!

Another container designed compact home that opens up and embraces outdoor living: http://tinyhouseswoon.com/port-a-bach-container-house/#more-2899 . Very attractive! I could definitely see that on the property.
I don't want anything that looks like a caravan park cabin. We're thinking about building on wheels (a chassis) to get around planning issues, but I'd rather put the money required into the chassis into the actual build. I don't want to build a caravan, not even a fancy gypsy one...
For example, I like the idea of the micro compact home: http://www.microcompacthome.com/projects/ . I like the clean, crisp lines and think it would look at home in the woodlot nestled among the tall trees. Along the same lines but bigger is http://zerohouse.net/wordpress/ - I think I like the idea of separate rooms joined by outside spaces (decks, covered walkways, etc) more though.
The overhang on the aldo wee house interests me - in this climate it would provide essential summer shade, plus a sunny sheltered place to sit in winter if the home is oriented north. I could see this wee house sitting above the 'camp ground' just down from the turnaround, below where our wreckers yard is currently situated.

And that got me thinking about the Rolling Cubes designed house at Port Elliot again: http://designplace.com.au/residential/rolling-cubes-sa/ . I'd love to step outside the box and think laterally! Do something a little wild and different, make a statement with angles. We've always wanted to do that...
Working with mud isn't out of the question and I love the way light filters through bottles: http://tinyhouseswoon.com/bear-hermitage/#more-3722 . This home has the advantage of being incredibly low cost because the walls are the roof!
A contemporary version using colourbond corrugated iron that looks simple, inexpensive and easy to erect: http://tinyhouseswoon.com/abod-shelter/#more-3314 . Only issue I have with the horizontal placement of the iron is dust, plus those corrugated ends make perfect nesting places for eight-legged creatures!
The Glamping EcoPod takes this idea to the next level - I like!! http://tinyhouseswoon.com/glamping-eco-pod/#more-2948 .
I can handle rustic too and the overhang bed area doubles as a porch in this tiny home: http://tinyhouseswoon.com/potomac-cabin/#more-2968 . Steps are a bit steep for me, might suit younger folk better!

Of course, our KimberleyKamperTrailer is a perfect tiny house, just add the toilet/shower tent and it is a comfortable home for a couple like us!
